Ariana Grande just revealed the track lengths for all the songs on her upcoming album.
And there’s something special about the last track…
Ariana Grande’s new album Sweetener is just over a week away and thankfully Ari is keeping fans preoccupied with little hints about the project. Two weeks ago she revealed the track titles and now we’re getting the track lengths for all 15 songs.
Fans were quick to notice that the last track on the album called ‘Get Well Soon’ runs for 5 minutes and 22 seconds. Those numbers seemingly represent the date of the terrible Manchester bombing that happened on May 22nd last year.
In an interview with Elle in July, Ariana actually noted the track and said that it was written about her mental health after the attack. She said QUOTE, “It’s all the voices in my head talking to one another” and sampled a few lyrics like QUOTE, “They say my system is overloaded / Girl, what’s wrong with you? Come back down.”
And back at the end of May she responded to a tweet asking about “Get Well Soon” and said QUOTE, “isss ab my anxiety. i felt like i was floating for like 3 months last year & not in a nice way. like i outside my body? was v scary and i couldn’t breathe well. so it’s ab that. & lots of voices in my head singin. i hope it comforts ppl who hear it pls”

Ari has been very open about the fact that working on this album was important to her healing process. She told The Fader that she wrote the lyrics to the song after experiencing an anxiety attack. She said QUOTE, “The thing that makes me feel OK with opening up and finally allowing myself to be vulnerable is that I know [my fans] feel the same feelings.” and continued later saying, “I don’t want to hide any pain from them, because I can relate to their pain. Why not be in it together?”
We’re so excited to hear every song on the new album, but especially ‘Get Well Soon’ because it sounds like a new side of Ari that she’s been keeping private for some time.
