Despite being constantly shipped by fans, Noah Centineo revealed that Lana Condor was a little less than friendly when they first met.
Rejection hurts, but this one cut Noah Centineo and all of us like, real deep.
If you’ve seen ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ it goes without saying that Noah Centineo and Lana Condor have the BEST on-screen chemistry to date. In fact, their chemistry is SO good that fans have started to believe that two are dating off-screen.
Anyway, while their relationship today is pretty great, the same can’t be said for when they first met. In fact, Noah opened up to E!’s Daily Pop on Thursday about the first time he met Lana and she kinda rejected him.

Ouch. Well, luckily for Noah and Lana, that will always be a great first memory for them. When asked if maybe Lana thought he was hitting on her and reacted that way because of that, Noah said QUOTE, “I don’t know. Maybe. I ask people to read lines in the audition room if they look nervous! I was just like, hey, I could always run my lines. It’s always easier if you’re running with a stranger before do it with the casting director. It helps you get the nerves out. And if someone else looks nervous, then it totally is gonna help them too. If you can do it with some random person you just met, you can easily go into a room and do it again.” And when we thought we just couldn’t love Noah any more than we already do.
While Noah is currently an internet sensation due to the film ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ and has been talking nonstop about his character Peter Kravinsky, Noah’s actually been doing press to promote his new Netflix film, ‘Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.’
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Noah talked about his character Jamey and how he isn’t really all that different from Peter Kravinsky. Noah describes his character Jamey as QUOTE, “more cerebral, he’s really smart, emotionally as well. He’s soulful. He’s a thinker, he’s a deep thinker … and he’s goofy too.”
He also went on to talk about his new film, and said QUOTE, “I think there’s a great message [in Sierra Burgess] as far as, like, even in this cyber stage of social interaction where it’s just like all technology, you can still have some level of intimacy over the phone. The idea was we talked for hours and hours and hours on the phone, and that’s when we got to know each other. That’s when we fell in love.”
And just an FYI for everyone, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser premieres on Netflix Friday, September 7th.
