Mena Suvari is opening up to ET’s Deidre Behar about why it feels ‘very surreal’ to be expecting her first child. The 41-year-old actress expresses that she’s always dreamed of being a mother, and despite several factors working against her, she says she trusted her body and is now experiencing the joy of pregnancy. Alongside her husband, Michael Hope, Mena opens up about preparing for parenthood and why she’s opting for a natural at-home birth with a midwife. She also shares the qualities they plan to instill in their son as he grows up. But before Mena’s son arrives in March, she’s busy promoting her latest film, a dark thriller called ‘Don’t Tell a Soul,’ in select theaters, On Demand and Digital Jan. 15. In the movie, Mena plays a mother of two boys, played by Fionn Whitehead and Jack Dylan Grazer. In a sweet twist of fate, Mena recalls filming the movie prior to her pregnancy and thinking about how she’d love to have a son like them some day.
