Cinderella: Brandy Says Whitney Houston’s Performance is How She Should Be Remembered (Exclusive)

Brandy chats with ET’s Rachel Smith about her favorite Whitney Houston memories from ‘Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella,’ streaming Feb. 12 on Disney+. The 41-year-old actress says Houston’s performance is the ‘light that she should always shine in,’ and opens up about the final conversation she had with the late music legend shortly before her death. Brandy was the first Black actress to portray the iconic fairytale princess, and she reveals her 18-year-old self didn’t grasp at the time how much of an impact her groundbreaking casting would have. This year marks the 25th anniversary of ‘Moesha,’ and Brandy says she hopes to return to the character someday, especially since the beloved sitcom ended on a cliffhanger!
