Kanye West Raises $1 MILLION for DMX’s Family

Kanye West and his Yeezy brand teamed with Balenciaga for a DMX tribute shirt. A source tells ET that in less than 24 hours, sales profits raised $1 million for the late rapper’s family. The shirt is now completely sold out. In addition, West also produced the elaborate Celebration of Life memorial for DMX on Saturday at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The source notes that he ‘produced the entire service with his Yeezy creative force behind him,’ and we now know acclaimed visual artist Akeem Smith was enlisted to create the service’s massive projections and visual collages.
