Olympia Dukakis has died. The Oscar-winning actress was well-known for her roles in ‘Moonstruck’ and ‘Steel Magnolias.’ She was 89. A rep for Dukakis told ET in a statement: ‘After months of failing health, Olympia Dukakis passed away this morning, May 1st, at her home in New York City, with her daughter Christina Zorich by her side.’ Her ‘Steel Magnolias’ co-star Dolly Parton shared this tribute: ‘She has been one of my favorite people that I have ever known or worked with.’ Viola Davis wrote on Twitter ‘You made all around you step up their game. A joy to work with.’
