In case you missed it, Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss sent Swifties into an absolute frenzy over the last year or so, when it started to seem like the two were no longer friends. After several years of being absolute BFF goals, Swifties everywhere thought the two had a falling out after the once inseparable pair weren’t spotted hanging out together in an alarmingly long time.
Unfortunately, the theory that Kaylor had a falling out was only made more convincing by the fact that Tay appeared to have snubbed Karlie in her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Then, in January, Karlie shared a video of herself dribbling a basketball for a photo shoot, which was originally captioned, QUOTE, “Swish Swish.” Normally, we wouldn’t think twice about something like that, but considering “Swish Swish” is the title of Katy Perry’s hit song and that Katy was Taylor’s arch-nemesis at the time, it seemed a little strange.
The signs that the two were feuding didn’t end there, though. To make matters even worse, Karlie was spotted on a sushi outing with Katy, and she even conveniently left Taylor off of her bests friends list in an interview with Porter this past April.
But wait, it’s not all bad news! Despite all of the signs that Karlie was no longer an active member of Taylor’s squad, the two officially squashed the rumors when Karlie attended Tay’s Reputation tour back in August. Following the show, she posted an adorable selfie of the two on Instagram, captioned, QUOTE, “No one puts on a show like Taylor Swift. #ReputationTour Nashville was out of this world, I am SO proud of you.”
Okay, so clearly there’s no bad blood between the two, but if you’re not fully convinced, Karlie just said it herself in the latest installment of Vogue’s 73 Questions!
When the interviewer asked if everything is cool between her and Taylor, Karlie confirmed that there’s absolutely nothing to worry about, and she even gave a special shoutout to Jennifer Lawrence, since Jen expressed concern about the status of their friendship during a Q&A she did back in February.
Well, there you have it, fam! It seems like Taylor and Karlie are still pretty close, so maybe it really was their hectic schedules that have kept them apart!
