Netflix just dropped their brand new show, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, starring Kiernan Shipka, and Riverdale fans quickly had something extra to get excited about while watching the show that’s already getting tons of praise from viewers.
Now, a Riverdale crossover, if you will, shouldn’t be too surprising, given that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is the executive producer for both shows, but who we saw show up in Sabrina was definitely surprising. So if you watched episode 7 of Sabrina, and thought the pizza delivery guy at the end looked reaaaal familiar, you were on to something.
Roberto confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the pizza boy was, in fact was Moses Thiessen, AKA Ben from Riverdale. And, spoiler alert, Ben died in Riverdale… so like what the heck is he doing looking very much alive and well?! Are we supposed to assume that Ben didn’t actually croak when he fell from that window?
In regards to his death, Roberto told ET QUOTE “It seemed like it was pretty final, but yet there he is Greendale.”
Uh… definitely feel like there’s something going on here. However, Roberto also added QUOTE “But in Greendale, everyone pops up—the dead don’t say dead long in Greendale.”
So perhaps Ben really did die but he was then resurrected in Sabrina… either way, we’re confused… and excited… and we want more.
Ben first got fans talking because he just seemed to pop up everywhere, remember? Making out with Grundy, playing videogames with Dilton Doiley, working at the Twilight Drive-In, before he jumped to his death.. and that was that. Or was it? Honestly, based on how much that kid pops up, it would be totally on brand for him to be alive in Greendale…
I’m sure that answer will come soon but in the meantime, were you shocked to see Ben delivering pizza in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? Do you think this could mean he’s totally alive?
