Are Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber finally putting the past behind them? It looks like they might be leaving the awkwardness in the past once and for all after Hailey just subtly gave Selena a nod.
What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and it looks like Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez might be on better terms than what most thought.
Hailey who we all know married Selena’s on again-off again ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber last year, caught the attention of Selena Gomez fans last night.
For a little back story, Selena and Hailey actually have a mutual friend Raquelle Stevens. Raquelle is one of Sel’s besties, but it seems like she and Hailey are still on good terms.
Last night Raquelle posted on Instagram about her new vodcast called “Giving Back Generation” and the show looks like it’s going to have some seriously impressive guests.
Both Sofia Carson and Selena Gomez are in the trailer.
Yeah, I will definitely be watching.
But anyway, Raquelle posted this pic on her Insta of her, Selena, and their two other friends Ashley Cook, and Courtney Lopez.
And obviously tons of friends, fans, and celebs are liking and commenting on Raquelle’s pic.
But the most surprising “like” is by none other than Hailey Bieber and even after everyone has pointed out the shocking like, Hailey hasn’t unliked it, sooo it looks like it was intentional.
And it makes sense if you’ve actually watched the episode.
In the show, Raqualle emphasizes the importance of women not competing with one another and supporting each other instead. She said quote, “When you’re in your lane, no one else is you.”
Selena even added quote, “I experience a lot of that in what I do. There’s just room for everyone.”
So maybe Hailey was trying to send a message or an olive branch by liking Raquelle’s post…?
And fans are commenting on the post about Hailey’s subtle like.
And while I wouldn’t go as far as saying she’s a stan now, she definitely has been a fan in the past and this isn’t the first time Hailey has supported Selena on social media.
Just a reminder, last year, Hailey followed, then immediately unfollowed (host: talking under your breath), a Selena Gomez fan account.
She messaged the account owner, saying she was “so sorry,” and that the follow had been an accident.
But for years before that, Hailey was legit a vocal Selenator.
And quote, “I’m for sure 100% team #Jelena.”
So while she may not be team Jelena anymore, because duh, maybe they are just putting the past in the past and moving on.
It seems like both Hailey and Selena are doing really well and thriving in their own lives.
I mean in Raquelle’s vodcast Selena literally says quote, “I hope what the takeaway from this is as well is that we just want — I want to be an example of friendship and what it can look like and the importance.”
So maybe a friendship is in Hailey and Selena’s future.
Maybe it’s not.
But either way I am here for women supporting women and am just glad we aren’t pitting these two against each other anymore.
