Billie Eilish may already be one of the youngest stars on the scene, but she just revealed a video of her even younger self being a musical prodigy and you HAVE to see it.
What’s up? It’s Drew Dorsey here with Clevver News and last night Billie Eilish appeared on ‘The Late Late Show’ alongside one of her idols Alicia Keys who was filling in as the show’s guest host.
They talked about Alicia’s STUNNING cover of “Ocean Eyes” from earlier this year.

UGH, I love that song so much and that cover is beautiful.
Billie revealed that she was absolutely shook when she saw that Alicia covered her song because she’s been a fan of hers for so long, and we can totally understand where Billie is coming from, Alicia is a living legend!
But then Billie surprised Alicia with her own throwback moment, and it’s the cutest, most impressive thing you’ll see all day.
Billie said quote, “You don’t even know. A little surprise. I don’t know if they got this video ready, but a year before ‘Ocean Eyes’ came out — which is what you covered, which is crazy — I did a cover of ‘Fallin” at a talent show at 12.”
Billie. Just. Did. That. YES! And Alicia was living for the performance too.
I personally loved seeing Billie belt it out like that at the piano because we are so used to hearing her soft airy vocals. It was a totally different sound for her and I was so here for it! Maybe she will give us some belting moments in some future music of hers now that we know what she’s capable of.
A girl can dream…
And also, can we talk about her blonde hair and American flag T-shirt for a minute. Billie was only 12 years old in this video but her look has changed so much over the past 5 years, so it was fun to see her in such a sweet simple outfit.
And fans were loving this moment as well.
One person said quote, “We forget how young Billie is, she’s so talented. 💖”
Another wrote quote, “Imagine Billie and Alicia on a track let alone make a whole album together” with a bunch of fire emojis.
And another fan said what we’re all thinking, “WE NEED A FULL BILLIE’S COVER OF FALLIN”
And on another note, fans are begging for Alicia Keys to be a talk show host and I am COMPLETELY on board with that.
But something Alicia WILL be hosting is the 2020 Grammy’s for the 2nd year in a row.
Alicia and Billie moved on to talking about the Grammys and Billie’s historic nominations.
In case you missed it, Billie is nominated for 6 Grammys and she broke records as the youngest artist in history to be nominated in all the major categories in one year.
But Billie couldn’t help but continue to gush over Alicia’s success and said quote, “I mean, you! Dude, when she went to the Grammys, she won, like, a billion. First time. First time going. I don’t think it’s gonna go as well for me as it was for you, but I’m excited, I’m nervous. I got all the emotions.”
But believe it or not, there was still more magic in this interview.
These two were just getting started.
All of our dreams came true when later in the interview, Billie and Alicia actually performed a duet of “Ocean Eyes.”
I mean wow. Just wow.
I am really hoping these two perform again together at the Grammys and now I am really hoping for a collab between them. Like a Billie Eilish Alicia Keys track is the collab I never knew I needed, but now cannot live without.
And it’s about to be a big year for Billie. Next week is her 18th birthday.
And while there is plenty to be excited about in her 18th year, like all those Grammy nominations, there are some aspects of adulthood that she isn’t excited about.
Billie recently told Extra why she’s afraid to turn 18.
She continued on and explained why she thinks she might get more hate at 18.
